True to the motto: “Relaxed enjoyment and regional shopping”, Beverungen Marketing is organizing the 6th after-work market on the town hall square and the adjacent part of Weserstrasse and Burgstrasse on Friday, September 6th. From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., visitors will have the opportunity to buy regional and local products until the evening hours. The well-known range of the weekly market will be supplemented by other local traders and enhanced by an entertaining supporting and musical program for visitors of all ages. In total, there will be around 20 sales and information stands, including some culinary delicacies. Otto Gastronomie will be serving drinks.
Also present are: the Valentin beekeeping company from Dalhausen, “Knüpfhändchen” with macramé handicrafts from Beverungen, Team Holzwolle from Höxter as well as WeserAronia from Bodenfelde and Hanne’s Blumenlädchen from Holzminden. The Strandwetter distillery from Lauenförde is represented for the first time. At their stand, various liqueurs made in-house can be tasted and purchased. And Barbara Saggel, known as “Frau Wolle”, is also looking forward to being at the after-work market for the first time this year.
Clubs and institutions such as the Beverunger Seniorennetz also present themselves at the after-work market. The Child Protection Association offers various hands-on activities for children and a bouncy castle provides fun and games. MAX Showtechnik provides musical entertainment throughout the event. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. there will be live music on the town hall square with acoustic musician Robert Brettschneider from Kassel.
Persons who hold a volunteer card NRW have the opportunity to receive a ”Gastro-Discount”Upon presentation of the volunteer card, participants will receive a one-off 5 Mochentaler (5 euros) which they can redeem from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Otto Gastronomie drinks stand. The Mochentaler can be picked up on the day of the event at the Beverungen Marketing and Tourist Information information stand.
Many participating local retail stores are participating with the Campaign “Make room for something new!”Remaining stock and inventory are sold at bargain prices.
Goods from a wide range of retail sectors, such as clothing, jewelry/watches, household goods, toys and garden items, are presented and sold in separate areas. This campaign is intended to supplement the after-work market and liven up retail stores and offer visitors a wide range of products throughout the entire city center.
Beverungen Marketing points out that on the day of the after-work market there will be a Road closure from 12 – 22:00 in the upper part of Weserstrasse (junction Lange Str. to junction Burgstr.) and in the area of ​​Burgstrasse between junction An der Kirche to junction Weserstrasse (directly in front of the service center), and a no-parking zone is posted from 8:00.
