A manhunt is underway to New York (United States) for more than 12 hours. A man wearing a gas mask set off two smoke devices beforeopen fire, Tuesday, April 12, in the middle of rush hour in the subway in Brooklyn. The balance sheet reports 23 injured, but none is in danger of death.
The shooter is on the run but the police have identified a suspect. “We found a 9mm Glock pistol, magazines, a hatchet, as well as liquid that we believe to be gasoline. Investigators have located a van in Brooklyn (rented and abandoned), we believe it has a link with the person sought”, comments the spokesperson for the New York police (NYPD), specifying that the suspect is “a black man who wore an orange jacket and a green sweatshirt”.
The police released photos of the individual who rented the van, without saying if it was the suspect.
