The European and Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of the Philippines.

A statement issued by the center said that the earthquake occurred at 11:03 today, Tuesday, UTC, about 137 kilometers northeast of the city of Laoag.

The statement added that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 31 kilometers.

There is still no information about injuries or damage as a result of the earthquake.
