Suara.com – Oppo Indonesia admitted that the Indonesian people are increasingly interested in HP 5G. Evidently, 5G phones accounted for 36 percent of the total sales of all Oppo phones in Indonesia.
“In the third quarter (Q3) 2021, Oppo’s 5G HP contributed about 36 percent, compared to 64 percent of 4G devices. That’s pretty good,” said Oppo Indonesia PR Manager, Aryo Meidianto, when met in Jakarta, Thursday (28/10/2021). ).
Aryo compares, this figure is much higher than the fourth quarter (Q4) 2020. In that period, Oppo’s 5G mobile phone sales only accounted for 12 percent.
This increase is also due to Oppo Indonesia starting to issue a lot of 5G phones this year, to be exact there are six models of 5G phones. Meanwhile, in 2020, Oppo Indonesia only released two 5G smartphones.

Another reason is that Indonesian cellular operators are also starting to aggressively introduce 5G internet. Oppo admits that sales of 5G phones began to rise in May, June, and peaked in July 2021.
“July is the highest because there have been many operators testing (5G internet), although it is only limited. So the stimulus is there,” said Aryo.
Unfortunately, said Aryo, sales of Oppo Indonesia’s 5G phones fell again this November. He estimates that this decline is due to cellular operators no longer providing information about 5G developments.
“Currently it depends on the operator, because 5G is not so evenly distributed in Indonesia. The area is still limited. Now it goes up and down, depending on what the operator does later,” said Aryo.
