A total of 59 people will maintain their isolation at least until Tuesday in Betanzos after having had contact with some of the positives registered in this town. They are the ones that have tested negative in the 60 PCR tests carried out on Thursday and that returned a positive.
There are ten coronavirus cases diagnosed, after carrying out those 60 PCR tests among people from the work, leisure and sports environment who have tested positive. The Ministry of Health ensures that it continues to track all close contacts in order to diagnose cases that may still remain hidden.
The Ministry of Health yesterday confirmed nine cases of coronavirus detected in Betanzos. There were three more cases than on Wednesday, diagnosed after performing 75 PCR tests in the municipality, out of the 900 performed in the health area of A Coruña. The Betanzos City Council has decided suspend the monthly fair as a preventive measure to try to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Sanidade is tracking all close contacts in order to detect new cases. The Consellería has activated the protocol established for possible outbreaks in order to control these infections. He has installed a tent next to the health center where he is conducting the tests.

Two groups of infected
The nine cases are divided into two groups, according to sources from the Betanzos City Council. They are a family of four and another group of five positives, among whom are two workers who were in the Lleida region and returned to Betanzos, where they have their usual residence. Both were asymptomatic. They were detected when going to the doctor for other ailments. The follow-up was quick since both are known by the municipal Social Services.
