5,889 hospital deaths in France, 357 more in 24 hours

France counts 8,078 people dead because of COVID-19 since the beginning of the epidemic, announced Sunday the Directorate General of Health (DGS), including 5,889 in hospital and 2,189 in nursing homes and other medical-social establishments .
This represents 357 more deaths in hospitals in the past 24 hours, the DGS said in a press release. A major indicator, the DGS has 140 more resuscitation entries since yesterday, a balance “which remains positive but is gradually reducing”, according to the press release, bringing the number of patients in intensive care to 6,978.
