57 KPK Employees Reportedly Will Be Dismissed October 1, 2021

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Corruption Eradication Commission (NCP) is said to be dismissing 57 employees who are declared not to have passed the National Insight Test (TWK) on October 1, 2021. In fact, the Decree (SK) of dismissal is said to have been signed.

This dismissal plan is one month faster than what is stated in SK Number 652 of 2021, in which dozens of KPK employees will be dismissed on November 1, 2021.

“Our Termination Decree has been signed with TMT [Terhitung Mulai Tanggal] October 1, 2021,” said the source CNNIndonesia.com, Wednesday (15/9).

This source said that the process of drafting the decree was carried out by the Legal Bureau. This is unusual because it is usually done by the HR Bureau.

“The numbering has just been done by Plh. Head of Yanpeg [Pelayanan Kepegawaian],” he said.

The plan for dismissal was carried out more quickly, allegedly due to the widespread support for 57 KPK employees after the Supreme Court’s decision to hand over the fate of employees who did not pass the TWK to the government.

“At the meeting last Monday, all leaders agreed to immediately dismiss the 57 KPK employees on October 1, 2021 from the initial plan of November 1, 2021,” said another source.

The salaries of employees who do not pass the TWK in October will not be paid again.

“The dismissal decree has been signed, and the salaries of employees for October 2021 have been asked not to be paid,” he said.

CNNIndonesia.com has tried to contact three KPK leaders, namely Firli Bahuri, Nurul Ghufron, and Alexander Marwata to confirm this, but have not received a reply. Even with Plt. KPK Spokespersons Ali Fikri and Ipi Maryati Kuding have yet to provide an answer.

Previously, one of the KPK employees who did not pass the national insight test (TWK) Tata Khoiriyah said he would be dismissed on November 1.

“A report circulated on May 25, six institutions discussed the follow-up to TWK. One of the points is that 51 employees will be honorably discharged as of November 1,” Tata wrote on Twitter, Saturday (4/9).

According to him, there has been a long hiatus since he received SK 652 on 7 May. From the documents found, he should have been dismissed on June 1.

In the process, the Supreme Court has decided to reject the lawsuit by a non-active KPK employee related to the judicial review of Commission Regulation (Perkom) number 1 of 2021 which contains the National Insight Test (TWK).

Before the decision was issued, the Indonesian Ombudsman stated that there were allegations of maladministration in the TWK of KPK employees. In addition, Komnas HAM said that the process of changing the status of an anti-corruption agency employee violated human rights.

Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Nurul Ghufron, claimed that the Supreme Court’s decision dismissed allegations of maladaptation and human rights violations in the process of changing employee status to ASN.

During the status transfer process, the KPK stated that 75 people did not pass the TWK in the context of changing the status of KPK employees to ASN. After meeting with a number of institutions/ministries, the KPK leadership decided to fire 51 employees. The other 24 employees will be given coaching.

“There are 24 employees out of 75 who are still possible to be coached before being appointed as ASN. Meanwhile, 51 of these assessors are already red in color, which is not possible for coaching,” said KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata at a press conference at the BKN Office, Jakarta. East, Tuesday (25/5).
