After a traffic accident on state road 2316 near Hasloch (Main-Spessart district), a 56-year-old car driver died on Friday afternoon. According to initial findings, there are many indications of a medical cause. The accident was recorded by the Marktheidenfeld police station.
Got off the road
According to the current status of the investigation, the 56-year-old was driving his Audi from Schollbrunn in the direction of Hasloch and shortly after 1:00 p.m. left the road without any outside involvement. After the vehicle came to a stop in the ditch, the man at the wheel could no longer be spoken to. His child, who was sitting in the back seat, did not appear to be seriously injured, but complained of a headache.
Man died at accident site
In addition to a rescue service crew, a rescue helicopter with an emergency doctor was quickly on the spot. Although they were still fighting for the man’s life together with first responders, any help came too late for the 56-year-old from the Miltenberg district. He died later at the accident site.
During the accident recording by the Marktheidenfeld police, there were indications that the man had possibly lost control of his vehicle due to a medical cause. It is therefore not unlikely that he died for health reasons and not as a result of the consequences of the accident.
In addition to the police and rescue service, the Hasloch volunteer fire brigade was also on duty.
