FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Social media activist who is also a doctor, Dr. Tifauzia Tyassuma, known as Doctor Tifa, issued a sharp criticism of the government’s plan to import 56 tourist buses from Solo and Surabaya.
The buses were brought in to transport invited guests for the Indonesian Independence Day celebration on August 17 from Balikpapan’s Sepinggan Airport to the Indonesian Capital (IKN).
“Just to satisfy the megalomaniac desire of cungkring people,” Tifa said in her statement on the X @DokterTifa claim, which was announced on Friday (3/8/2024).
Tifa expressed her views via social media, calling the move a waste of people’s money.
“People’s money is being wasted. Hundreds of billions are gone in an instant,” he said.
Tifa also added a satirical comment, as if representing some people’s concerns about the government’s high spending.
“Your account is long, Wi! rungkad!,” he said.
Before that, Jokowi decided to hold the 79th Indonesian Independence Commemoration Ceremony at IKN on Saturday, August 17 2024.
Even though all the facilities at IKN have not been completed, the government is making several intensive preparations to make this historic event a success.
Acting Head of IKN Authority and PUPR Minister, Basuki Hadimuljono, said several important buildings such as the State Palace, Garuda Palace and the IKN Coordination Ministry Building were ready to be used for ceremonies.
In addition, the Ceremoni Plaza at Sumbu Kebangsaan will act as a busy center and will accommodate around 4,000 invited people and support committees.
