The male choir “Knyazhichi” continues to captivate the people of Kazakhstan with their voices. This time the ensemble will give a big concert in Petropavlovsk. What songs will be performed and how the singers will surprise the northern listener – in the material of Zakon.kz.
“Knyazhichi” are rightfully recognized as the best men’s team in Kazakhstan. There are 18 young professionals in the choir. Male voices have a rare sound with a total range of more than three octaves. The choral ensemble features soloists Evgeny Shagarov and Azamat Malyshov, as well as singers from the opera theater choir – Bakhyt Ilyasov and Feodor Romanenko, choir singer Almat Yesimkhanov and the best students of the Almaty Music Conservatory. The Knyazhichi men’s choir is led by experienced conductor and teacher Sergei Redkin.

It is worth noting that “Knyazhichi” is a team that has no analogues in its field. The ensemble has repeatedly proven that choral singing has become more progressive and has taken its rightful place in the cultural environment of our country.
The men’s choir was born in Almaty, and here in June last year the ensemble gave its first concert. The debut performance was a success among connoisseurs of choral singing. From that moment on, Almaty residents look forward to every concert of their favorites.
Now the “Knyazhichi” have gone on a tour of the cities of Kazakhstan. Already on April 20 they will perform in Petropavlovsk.
“Our choir will perform with great joy on the stage of the Akan Sera Philharmonic at 18:00. Tickets are already on sale. All members of the choir are very responsible for the upcoming performance. Rehearsals are held daily. We hope that our performance will be remembered for a long time by the residents of Petropavlovsk,” said the director of the men’s choir “Knyazhichi” and conductor Sergei Redkin.
The repertoire of “Knyazhichi” is constantly updated and is aimed at listeners of different ages. Their collection contains many popular melodies, folk Cossack songs and Kazakh works. Listeners especially love songs such as “Gul Almaty”, “Otan Ana” and “Kusni Korlan”. Each choir performance is different from the previous one. Not long ago, the “Knyazhichi” performed on the legendary Kazakh TV show X-Factor.

There, the singers performed works from the repertoire of the Pentatonix group that were not typical for the choir, making a medley of Daft Punk songs. At the concert, which was organized in Astana, they showed a whole show with the participation of Kazakh pop stars. The group URKER sang along with the men’s choir. An equally rich program has been prepared for residents of Petropavlovsk.
“At the concert in Petropavlovsk we plan to perform songs with which we began our creative journey. Petropavlovsk residents will hear such Cossack songs as “Not for me,” “When we were at war,” “Horse” and “Call me quietly by name.” The group will also present several songs from the repertoire of Roza Rymbaeva,” shared Sergei Redkin.
