Bayreuth (dpa / lby) – 55.5 million euros flowed to companies in Bavaria that employ people with disabilities. This was announced by the Bavarian Family and Social Center (ZBFS) in Bayreuth. Employers can, for example, apply for money from the ZBFS Inclusion Office for the creation of new jobs and training positions, but also for the redesign of workplaces for disabled people.

“A good personnel structure with strong employees can only be achieved if employers keep an eye on the entire job market,” said ZBFS President Norbert Kollmer. “The ZBFS Inclusion Office supports employers financially and in an advisory capacity. Together, additional challenges that the attitude of a person with a disability can sometimes bring with it can be overcome.”

In 2019, according to the authorities, 53.2 million euros flowed to employers, in 2018 it was 45.5 million.

The Inclusion Office finances its services from the equalization charge. All employers with at least 20 jobs must pay these if they do not meet the employment quota of five percent for people with disabilities.
