According to the Romanian MEP, extremist groups are the only ones to reject the project.
“I expect an overwhelming vote in favor of Romania in a few hours, the extremist group is the only political group that did not support the resolution and that tries, as they did in plenary, to block our country’s accession to the Schengen area. It would be good for those in the country who join forces with such formations to explain publicly why they want to block Romanians, “said Negrescu.
The decision on Romania’s entry into the Schengen area could be taken by the end of the year.
