536 new corona cases in the canton of Bern

In the canton of Bern, 536 people have tested positive for the corona virus since Tuesday. Eight people succumbed to the consequences of Covid 19 disease.

The number of infections in the canton of Bern has risen continuously since the New Year. The positivity rate climbed from over 11 to 15 percent during this time, as the updated figures from the Bernese health department showed on Wednesday.

309 people were in hospital care on Wednesday, 53 of them in intensive care. 43 people were given artificial respiration.
