53% of the population in Ukraine have lost their jobs due to the war

53% of previously employed people in Ukraine have now lost their jobs in Ukraine due to the war, according to a survey conducted by the sociological research group Rating.

Meanwhile, 22% of the Ukrainian population continues to work as usual, but only 2% of those who have lost their jobs have been able to find a new job.

A survey conducted on March 19 also shows that 21% of respondents currently perform their professional duties remotely or partially.

This problem is most pronounced in the eastern regions, where 74% of respondents have lost their jobs.

On the other hand, 52% of the respondents indicated that the general economic situation had significantly deteriorated. Another 28% of respondents said it was likely to get worse, but 18% had not felt the change.

At the same time, the majority or 51% of Ukrainians are quite optimistic about the restoration of the country after the end of the war. They believe that it will take five years to rebuild the country, but 13% of respondents think that one year will suffice.

A “poll” survey also shows that an absolute majority of Ukrainians (93%) are convinced that Ukraine will be able to repel Russia’s attack.
