The Ministry of Health updated this Saturday, April 15, the Covid-19 Health Alert Board and for the next 14 days, 53 municipalities are on orange alert and 287 are on yellow alert.
In this new update there are no municipalities on red alert, but there are no locations on green alert either.
According to Health, this Health Alert System is an instrument that allows the incidence of the disease to be measured every 15 days and defines the level of risk by municipality classified red, orange, yellow and green.
For updates, the Board evaluates criteria to determine the alert color of each of the 340 municipalities in Guatemala.
The Ministry of Health once again made the call to the Guatemalan population to continue with preventive measuressuch as hand washing with soap and water, physical distancing and the use of a mask, which are preventive measures to prevent contagion.

According to the data, Guatemala accumulates 1 million 246 thousand 626 registered cases of covid-19.
While of estimated recovered cases the figure is 1 million 225 thousand 561.
During the pandemic, Guatemala reports the death of 20 thousand 189 people.
On the subject of vaccines against covid-19, Health registers that 8 million 929 thousand 151 people in Guatemala have the first dose.
Of that amount, 7 million 120 thousand 706 have the second dose.
