53 bottles of adulterated liquor were seized in the municipality of La Virginia
- Proceedings of adulterated liquor are sent by complaint to the Attorney General’s Office.
La Virginia, October 27, 2024. The Risaralda Anti-Smuggling Operational Group – GOAR, achieved a significant blow to the networks of marketers of adulterated liquor in the municipality of La Virginia, after seizing 53 bottles that contained a substance not suitable for human consumption, and most of which were already in commercial establishments for marketing.
“This operation was very important for the department because our operational group managed to seize 21 half-sized bottles of liquor (375 milliliters), 6 half-sized bottles of rum (375 milliliters), and 31 bottles of liquor (750 milliliters)” said the Director of Inspection of Risaralda, Luz Andrea Henao Torres.
This arrest becomes one of the largest that has been carried out throughout the year, but the most important is to preserve the health and lives of citizens.
“We managed to remove 33,750 milliliters of adulterated liquor from the market, which, taken to a more understandable figure for the community, is approximately 34 liters of liquor not suitable for human consumption, which did not reach the final consumer, and could have threatened the health of the same, every time he reads it would have caused gastrointestinal problems, losing his vision and/or even his life”explained the Director of Inspection of Risaralda, Luz Andrea Henao Torres.
