10 million masks distributed in public transport
The Spanish government started distributing masks on Monday morning to citizens who commute to work using public transport. A total of 10 million masks will be distributed Monday and Tuesday, the Interior Ministry said.
This is a measure to support workers in the industry and construction industry in particular, who resumed their activity on Monday, while containment measures are continuing in the country. The government’s decision provoked strong criticism from the opposition.
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on his side called to a ” de-escalation “ of political tension and insisted on the need to implement a great pact of “Reconstruction” to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
