The organization
At the organization, the Minister of Sports and the delegation which accompanied him were entitled to a presentation of the model of the site and the work carried out. The space set up for the occasion, according to Mr. AZON Philéas Elisé, civil engineering design engineer, head of works and equipment at the Ministry of Sports, is a site which has two stands with 2,036 seats.
“It is planned to erect floodlights to be able to give a brightness of 300 luxuries to the ground and 1000 luxuries to the home. Following the specifications of the Federation, these projectors were produced and we see it. We also plan to erect tents for the referees. On the south side of the playing area, we have provided the control table for managing the competition. Other tents are for security. Screens will be positioned in these tents because we have planned a video surveillance camera system to mark the entire site. Behind the stand, infirmary tents are provided for anti-doping control and the red cross. Also, marquees for catering as well as removable toilets for convenience. We have also planned two training grounds made up of eight tracks each, tracks measuring 4 by 15 meters. I believe that these training grounds are already being used by our national team,” he explained.
In turn, Mr. Yaya GARBA, President of the Beninese Pétanque Federation, thanked the Government of President Patrice TALON for having fully played its part for the competition to be held without a hitch. He invites the Beninese people to support the Championship with their presence because it is the first world competition organized by Benin.

He particularly thanked the Head of State, President Patrice TALON and all members of the government for their support, mainly the Minister of Living Environment who managed the work part.
