The Dunninger Forum is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a brilliant exhibition. There is also a need for practical work. Because many interesting exhibitors have come, from the bakehouse association to the herbalist.
The Dunninger Forum (DF) was founded in 1971 by committed Dunninger citizens – Julius Wilbs was the idea generator and Josel Schick put it into practice – as an institution for adult education.
In his welcome speech, the 1st Chairman Michael Rebholz compared the anniversary with the image of a tree. “Once conceived and planted by the founders, a small seedling, which was then nurtured, cared for, watered and fertilized by many. A beautiful tree has grown from the little plant of yesteryear with a tidy trunk, consisting of the speakers, loyal course participants and grateful visitors to the various events. In this way, the tree was able to form branches, produce buds and blossoms, which in the best case also bear fruit.”
Youtube videos instead of courses
In his review, he also mentioned the drastic effects of the corona pandemic. Things, including people themselves, have changed, as has leisure time behavior. Many crafting instructions are available on the Internet today; this also affects the registrations. Due to a lack of registrations, courses were no longer held.
In this context, Rebholz was happy to have a competent partner at his side in the Catholic Adult Education Rottweil.
Thank you loyal souls
Words of thanks and a small gift were given to Rosemarie Hils, who worked for 20 years as managing director at DF, and her successor, Heidrun Wernz.
Vroni Kammerer worked as a speaker for the forum for more than 35 years, mostly in the health and sports area. She also received a small gift.
From head to hand
The DF opened up to the public with a wide-ranging exhibition of their products under the roof of the Eschach School. Come and have a look, but also do practical work was the motto from head to hand.
The florist Jutta Haag took part in the exhibitors with a workshop and colorful exhibits, Deborah Hils “Federleichtglück” with fashion and cosmetics, the knitting and patchwork group and the men’s cookery course led by Horst Götze. The Seedorf bakehouse association, the herb teacher Luzia Lacher and the Catholic adult education center KEB Rottweil (Heike Teufel, Mrs. Petra Karnowka and Mrs. Anja Frommer) were also represented.
“We were very satisfied with the response and the good atmosphere during this colorful and diverse event and would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success,” said Chairman Michael Rebholz.
