The Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences must not stand still so that what our brand core “Dein Weg” promises can be redeemed. It is our duty to constantly renew and adjust ourselves. We cannot afford to stand still, any more than the companies with which we cooperate. “
In the speech, Grünewald names the most important challenges of the future such as digitization, structural change in the Rhenish lignite mining area and climate change. “In research and development, we offer companies useful solutions to problems. We see ourselves as the central transfer and innovation core of the region. We are actively involved in shaping the structural change in the Rheinische Revier. We ensure that science and business are closely interlinked in regional transfer and innovation centers. “
