RLT Rodgau expects active participation

On Saturday, January 28, at 10 a.m., the starting gun will be given by Mayor Mr. Breitenbach for the 23rd 50-kilometer ultramarathon of the Rodgau Lauftreff at the Gänsbrüh Dudenhofen. After the 2022 run had to be moved to summer, the 2023 strongest 50-kilometer run in Germany will take place again – as usual – at the end of January.

Two weeks before the event, RLT Rodgau received more than 417 pre-registrations, 156 of them women, from 17 nations, including exotic countries such as Mexico, Mongolia and the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba.

The current course record for men is held by Benedikt Hoffmann with 2:56:18 from 2018 and for women by Tinka Uphoff with 3:32:41 from 2016. The winners from 2022, Sven Höller from LT Florstadt and the reigning German champion in the 50-kilometer run Katrin Ochs are currently registered.

Among the favorites are the reigning German champion in the 24-hour race Florian Reus from LG Würzburg, Timo Striegel (LAZ Ludwigsburg), who ran 50 kilometers in a personal best time of 3:16 hours and 100 kilometers in 7:33 hours in 2022, and Thomas Klingenberger from the performance diagnostics team, who was always among the eight best men in his six participations in Rodgau.

Florian Kaltenbach from Spiridon Frankfurt could also surprise with a last time of 3:30 over the 50 kilometer distance, as well as Christian Jakob (1.FC Lokomotive Leipzig) with a 50 kilometer time of 3:20 hours.

Among the women are Katja Hinze-Thüs (like Ochs, she ran 50 kilometers in under 3:40 hours in 2022) and Britta Giesen from the Hamburg drive (winner of the Röntgen run 2018+19, Baltic Run 2017, Müritz run 2017+18 and Thuringia Ultra 2018 ) on the participant list. However, the battle for places is completely open and promises to be exciting. It wouldn’t be the first time that an all-new surprise winner climbed the podium on January 28th.

For years, the Rodgau Lauftreff eV has been supported in organizing its running event by SK Langen-Seligenstadt, Fraport AG, Maingau Energie GmbH, Aerobee and Sebamed GmbH & Co.KG.

Active members who are still hesitating: pre-registrations are possible until Wednesday, January 25, at midnight www.rlt-rodgau.de → Ultramarathon possible and for a higher entry fee on the day of the event, until 9.30 a.m. in the gym of TSV Dudenhofen, Forsthausstraße 9.
A useful running accessory will be reserved for those who register in advance.
