The Bulgarian Red Cross has taken the initiative to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The Bulgarian state will provide transport for humanitarian aid to the border with Romania, and there, together with the Romanian authorities, it will be moved to Ukraine, Genchovska added.

Due to the curfew, the buses that have to pick up the Bulgarians from Kiev still cannot enter the city, explained the director of the Situation Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anton Markov.

Genchovska was asked if military assistance had been requested from Ukraine.

“There is a note that was handed over by the Ukrainian ambassador to Bulgaria to the Ministry of Defense with the listed nomenclature. The Ministry of Defense is working on this nomenclature and a decision will be made soon on what to provide.
