5 days have passed since 5 young people disappeared in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco. Their names are: Roberto Olmeda Cuéllar, Diego Lara Santoyo, Uriel Galván, Jaime Miranda and Dante Hernández. The State Prosecutor’s Office has denied that the bodies have already been located, there are only indications, vehicles and a video in which they force one of them to murder their friends.
This last video has generated various speculations for which the families of the disappeared ask the authorities to give them answers, so here we recount what we know about the case.
Friday, August 11, was the last time that Roberto, Diego, Uriel, Jaime, and Dante communicated with their family. According to investigations, they disappeared in the vicinity of the viewpoint located in the San Miguel neighborhood in Lagos de Moreno.

It is known that they had arranged to see a friend but he did not arrive and he was the one who gave notice and started the search.
“The boys seem to have been at a fair in the municipality of Lagos de Moreno. They were meeting a friend at another point; but when the friend loses contact with them is when he notifies the family. At that moment, the family generates a report to 911, as well as to the municipal police who activate their search group immediately,” said Security coordinator Ricardo Sánchez Beruben.
According to the Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office, 4 of the young people were traveling in a vehicle, and the fifth was traveling on another, which was found on Saturday, August 12, in the place where they were last seen.
After several hours without hearing from the young people, it was Saturday August 12 that the complaint was filed for the disappearance of the 5 young people in Lagos de Moreno.

Authorities reported that elements of the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office together with the National Guard carried out an operation to locate the disappeared young people without finding them.
On Sunday, August 13, due to the lack of information on the whereabouts of the young people, the relatives began to protest outside the JFV Stadium, where the semifinal of the Jalisco Cup was taking place, to demand that the authorities locate the alive 5 young. Since for them the first hours are crucial in a disappearance issue.
On Monday night, the alleged rumor began to circulate that the bodies of the 5 disappeared youths had been located, but it was not until Tuesday, August 15, that the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office clarified that a car with human remains was located.
In a press conference, the state prosecutor Luis Joaquín Méndez Ruiz reported that the second car in which the men were traveling was found during the early hours of the morning on the highway from Lagos de Moreno to Encarnación de Díaz.
And he pointed out that it is not yet possible to confirm how many bodies the remains found in the vehicle correspond to and if they belong to the young people, so they continue to be missing and they are still being searched for.
Due to the seriousness of the matter, the prosecutor declared that the parents of the victims were summoned to inform them of the progress, in addition they were shown a photograph and the video in which one of the young people allegedly murdered other of their companions.
At the same press conference, the special prosecutor for the disappearance of persons, Blanca Trujillo, assured that the parents said that “there is a high probability that it was them,” so the photograph and video remain in the investigation folder.
Méndez Ruiz pointed out that a farm was also searched in which there were supposed indications of the disappearance of the young people, where a long weapon, cartridges, some doses of different drugs, a motorcycle, cell phones and car license plates with a report of theft were found. .
