According to the NYPD, the minor was in the back seat of a Nissan Maxima car when she was struck by the bullet.
The little girl’s father was driving between East 214th Street and White Plains Road and came across a public vigil, in honor of a man who had been shot the day before. That’s when they started shooting and one of the bullets hit the little girl.
Although the girl was in critical condition at the time of the shooting, hours later they were able to keep her in stable health, however, she continues under medical observation.
