Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
High-Level Conference (Summit) G20 in Bali has been completed. However, this forum has left behind unique stories from the leaders of the member countries who attended.
The G20 summit took place on 15 and 16 November. There were 17 heads of member state present and three absent.
Those absent were Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Mexican President and the Brazilian President.
In addition to the G20 members, a number of invited guests were also present, such as the Secretary-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) and others.
Here is a unique story during the economic forum that was held.
1. Biden wanted to go home on the first day of the G20 Bali summit
US President Joe Biden had told Indonesian President Joko Widodo to go home on the first day of the summit.
Biden’s story emerged when Jokowi met with several media leaders at the Apurva Hotel on Thursday (11/17).
“Yes, it should be his first day [Biden] go home,” Jokowi said when asked if he could become the number one person in the United States, but at the top until the G20 statement.
Jokowi then said, “Here it is [Biden] someone said, ‘I want to be a son-in-law prepare so it can’t be ‘long’.”
He also said that Biden said he would only come for one day to the summit. However, the US leader was present until the end of the meeting and returned only after the forum was closed by Jokowi.
2. Joe Biden stumbles during a visit to Tahura
Another funny story is when the President of the United States, Joe Biden, tripped while walking up the stairs in Grand Forest Park, Bali, before the mangrove planting ceremony on November 16th.
The president of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, spontaneously immediately helped by embracing Biden.
This moment was seen in a live broadcast on the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat’s official YouTube channel.
In the footage, Biden, wearing a blue suit, is seen tripping after stepping on the bottom step of the stairs. However, Jokowi, who stood by him, immediately helped bring Biden back to balance.
The two heads of state walked towards the round table where other heads of state who had arrived earlier were gathering.
