The film takes place in 2041, when humanity is equipped with an interesting gadget. If you regularly back up your life and save your recovery point, you can be revived after a traffic accident or other unnatural death. However, the main character of agent Em Trochinowski is now called to a murder case where these basic rules were obviously violated. This puts him on the trail of a serious conspiracy.

A year ago, Point of Renewal caught the eye with its technical and craftsmanship, and even though the story was the most criticized by critics and viewers, it was still a pleasant spectacle for a large part of the audience, which showed that even in our country genres can be created in a sympathetic form, for which we would they didn’t expect years ago.

Premiere

The film was surprisingly presented to the public for the first time in South Korea, specifically at the Busan Film Festival. This festival is known for attracting distributors and audiences from all over the world looking for new, fresh projects – especially science fiction and innovative filmmaking, which perfectly suited the genre and style of Recovery Point. The film was presented to Czech viewers at the festival in Karlovy Vary, where it received positive reviews, and the current Czech president, Petr Pavel, also visited the premiere.

Music

The song Clair de Lune played an important role in the film, which, in addition to Point of Recovery, also appeared in many other world films – for example, in Danny’s Friends, Twilight or in the Oscar-winning film Everything, Everywhere, At Once. However, the final track was recorded by rapper Vladimir 518 together with Katarzia. Of course, a video clip was created for the song, which included footage from the Recovery Point.
