One of the causes of ice melt in Antarctica is the presence of global warming what happened now. For this reason, various ways to reduce global warming continue to be implemented because the impact of the threat of melting Antarctic ice is so worrying.

Here are the impacts when Antarctic ice melts:
1. The days will be a little longer
According to Routers, the melting of the Antarctic ice will result in a slight slowdown in the Earth’s rotation. This is due to the rise in sea level which shifts the axis of the planet.
It’s unclear how long it will take when all the ice melts, but UC glaciologist Irvine Mathieu Morlighem estimates that it could change up to 20 seconds.
2. Some countries will disappear
Cited by National Geographic, coastal cities like New York, New Orleans, Buenos Aires, Cairo, London, Venice, Shanghai and Bangladesh will all be lost.
Furthermore, 4/5 of the Australian territory and part of the Chinese territory are likely to be submerged.
