The elections began a week ago in Brazil, which could help decide not only the country’s future, but the future of the rest of the world as well, as the rainforest plays an important role in maintaining climate stability. What is needed now is a government to protect it and not further destroy it. However, the first round of voting was not as clear as environmental groups, activists and progressive forces had hoped. So he won
by the left Labor Party with about 48% (57 million votes). Although he is still ahead of incumbent President Bolsonaro with around 43% (51 million votes), he would have needed an absolute majority to win. Go on October 30th
