If Uncle Drew and KD aren’t in the bubble, a Suns humiliation in Orlando could be too much of a taste for the back.
Chris Paul and Steven Adams at the Clippers
Oklahoma City receives: Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell (sign-and-trade), Ivica Zubac, Rodney McGruder
At first glance, the Clippers’ roster seems almost complete for next season, as only Montrezl Harrell is not under contract with the stars. For this trade to work, the potential 6th man of the year would have to accept a “sign-and-trade”, and pack his bags for Oklahoma, notably with Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams. Los Angeles would thus find a leader capable of scoring and organizing the game to perfection in the person of Chris Paul, without losing in defensive quality, and a rough pivot who will ask nothing of anyone offensively. In contrast, the bench would take a huge hit.
Giannis Antetokounmpo chez les Raptors
Milwaukee receives: Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka (sign-and-trade), Norman Powell, OG Anunoby
Pascal Siakam has already proven that he can be the perfect lieutenant for another superstar in the title race. Giannis Antetokounmpo would arrive him in a sacred franchise recently, and alongside the Cameroonian, who would immediately become the best player he has played with. Fans would hate to see Kyle Lowry go, but it’s a small price to pay for a superstar as strong as the Greek Freak. If the Bucks are eliminated early, Masai Ujiri could jump at the chance.
Damian Lillard at the Lakers
Portland receives: first two draft rounds, Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green, Avery Bradley
LeBron James Even though he is a player, he is also one of the best General Managers in the league. When he gets the chance, he likes to invite a few All-Stars to join him, and Damian Lillard could be a perfect target. He may never win anything Portland, and the Lakers have what it takes to convince the Oregon franchise to take the plunge. Dame would arrive in one of the biggest Big 3 in history, and the Blazers could see the future serenely with Kyle Kuzma, and draft picks.
