Two men with the initials A and E were killed by a KRL hit commuterline in Kebon Pedes, Tanahsareal, Kota Bogor, West Java. The two men turned out to be police officers.
This incident occurred on Wednesday (18/1/2022) night at around 22.30 WIB. The two men were hit by a KRL traveling from the direction of Bogor.
“That’s right, two people who died were hit by a train from the direction of Bogor,” said Tanahsareal Police Chief Kompol Surya when asked for confirmation, Wednesday (18/1).
Following are the facts of 2 policemen who were hit by a KRL:
1. Hit While Chatting
At the time of the incident, the two victims were talking on the side of the railroad tracks behind the restaurant stall on Jl Pemuda, Tanahsareal District, Kota Bogor. The location of the incident is also not far from the railway guard post.
“The incident occurred, according to information from residents, that the victim after finishing eating was sitting chatting on the side of the tracks. Then a train came, maybe the train that came was mistaken for a train from Jakarta, it turned out to be a train from the direction of Bogor City, so the victim was hit by a train,” said Surya.
The two victims, said Surya, were evacuated to Salak Hospital and Bogor City Hospital. The victim with the initial A died at the location after being bounced about 10 meters. While the victim with the initials E died while being treated at Salak Hospital.
“Two victims died, one died at the location and another died at Salak Hospital,” said Surya.
2. Citizen’s Testimony
A local resident named Jupri claimed to have seen the two victims walking by the side of the grilled catfish stall towards the edge of the railroad tracks.
“It happened when I was eating, then someone shouted ‘ah’ like that, we immediately delivered it. When I saw that I had been hit by a train going from Bogor to Jakarta,” Jupri told reporters.
“The victim didn’t have time to eat, he got here and passed by the side, kept standing near the tracks. Yes, both of them. At the time of the incident, there was the sound of teng tong teng tong (the sound of a train signaling that it would pass),” he added.
3. The victim turned out to be a policeman
The two men who were killed by the KRL train turned out to be members of the Police. Both served at the Tanahsareal Polsek, Bogor City Police, and the Cipanas Police Mobile Brigade, West Java Regional Police.
“So the victims are both members of the National Police. The first is on behalf of Bripka Andri Iso, our member at the Tanah Sareal Police. The second victim, Bripka Egi, is serving at the Cipanas Mobile Brigade,” said Tanahsareal Police Chief Kompol Surya, Thursday (19/1).
Surya said that Bripka Andri was a member of the Tanahsareal Police Patrol Quick Response unit.
“Bripka Andri is on duty at Quick Response, a patrol unit,” said Surya.
Bripka Andri, continued Surya, died at the scene of the incident and was evacuated to Bogor City Hospital Jl Dr Semeru, West Bogor District, Bogor City.
Meanwhile, Bripka Egi was taken to Salak Hospital, Jl Jenderal Sudirman, Central Bogor District, Kota Bogorfor medical help.
“Two victims died, one (Bripka Andri) died at the location and another (Bripka Egi) died at Salak Hospital,” said Surya.
