5 Rouen police officers heard by the IGPN

Five Rouen police officers were heard on Wednesday
3 and Thursday 4 June by the IGPN for racist, anti-Semitic statements,
homophobic and sexist
in a private Whatsapp group.

The case dates back to December 2019. At
at the time, a police officer assigned to the UAAJ (Administrative Assistance Unit
in Rouen discovers that some of his colleagues exchange many insults, particularly of a racist nature, targeting him but not
only in a Whatsapp conversation group.

This morning, Mediapart published an article
to come back to the case and also highlight the slowness of
the investigation entrusted to the IGPN. However, according to our information, between yesterday and
today, the five accused police officers were interviewed by the IGPN. These
free hearings had to be postponed due to confinement,
what
explains the “slowness” denounced by our colleagues from Mediapart.
