5 Players Absent from Indonesia National Team Squad and Substitutes

A total of five players had to be willing to eliminate them so they weren’t gone Indonesia national team. They were not called up again and were replaced by other players.

Shin Tae-yong’s Indonesian national team has called up 27 players for the match against Japan and Saudi Arabia in Round 3. 2026 World Cup Qualifier. Garuda will face Japan on November 15 and Saudi Arabia on November 19 at the Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta.

There are five players who have been called up before but this time they were not included in the Indonesian National Team squad list. They are Asnawi Mangkualam, Ernando Ari, Malik Risaldi, Dimas Drajad, and Wahyu Prasetyo.

It was reported that Asnawi was injured while defending his club, Port FC. Ernando Ari injured his shoulder while defending Persebaya Surabaya. Likewise with Malik Risaldi who was not fit after playing for Madura United.

Dimas Drajad also suffered a similar fate, injured while defending Persib Bandung against Persik Kediri. Meanwhile, Wahyu Prasetyo is absent as his slot is filled by Justin Hubner, who was previously absent.

Those who are absent were previously part of the team Indonesia national team in a Round 3 game in October. Ernando, Wahyu and Dimas were only substitutes and did not get a chance to play against Bahrain and China.

Only Malik and Asnawi of the five players got a chance to play. Asnawi was absent against Bahrain and then started against China, while Malik started against Bahrain and then came on in the second half against China.

Regarding the changes in Indonesia national team Persis Solo’s Muhammad Riyandi was called up instead of Ernando, twins Yakob Sayuri and Yance Sayuri instead of Asnawi and Malik. Then Ramadhan Sananta replaced Dimas Drajad.
