Until mid 2022 WhatsApp has provided feature enhancements to its messaging service. They also bring many new features including Chat messages, group calls to cross-device message transfer.
Compiled by detikINET, Wednesday (22/6/2022), the following are a series of new features that are presented by WhatsApp. Which ones have you tried?
1. Send Messages sharing large files to emoji reactions
In this text messaging feature, WhatsApp has added several new features and also added updating of old features to improve its performance.
* Share files up to 2GB
WhatsApp has also increased the capacity of the file sharing feature in chat. Where WhatsApp users can now send files up to 2GB in size at a time in chats or groups, making it easier for them to collaborate on various jobs.
* Reactions
With the reactions feature, users can respond to incoming chats with a choice of available emojis without the need to flood chats or groups with new messages.
* Extended Disappearing Message Duration
The disappearing messages feature allows users to send messages that will be deleted automatically after a certain duration. Users can also send media such as photos, videos, and GIFs through this mode. If previously the duration was only 7 days, users can now choose to be automatically deleted after 24 hours or 90 days.
2. Group Call
* Notifications when someone joins a group call
When someone joins a group voice call and they’re not visible on the screen, you’ll see a notification saying “X has joined the call”.
This way, you can know when and who just joined, even if you’re on a group call with lots of people.
* Mute other people’s voices in group voice calls
This feature gives you the ability to mute other people in a group voice call. You will no longer be bothered by loud noises like the television on while trying to hear other people talking.
* Send messages to others on group voice calls
This new feature allows you to quickly message your fellow participants, without having to miss an ongoing conversation.
