President of the Press Council Azyumardi Azra he is currently being treated in one of the hospitals in Selangor, Malaysia. The family is said to be flying to Malaysia today.
The Indonesian embassy also visited Azyumardi, who is being treated. Azyumardi’s condition is said to be stable.
However, Azyumardi still needs intensive care. Former UIN chancellor Syarif Hidayatullah was treated at Serdang hospital.

“He is being treated at Serdang hospital,” said the coordinator of the social and cultural affairs function of the Indonesian embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Yoshi Iskandar, when he was contacted on Friday (9/16/2022).

Positive Covid
Azyumardi Azra tested positive for COVID-19. This was confirmed by the Coordinator of the Social and Cultural Affairs Function of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Yoshi Iskandar.
“According to information from the hospital that runs it (positive for COVID-19),” Yoshi said once confirmed on Saturday (9/17).
It will be reported to RS Kuala Lumpur
Yoshi said Azyumardi is still in intensive treatment. The plan is that Azyumardi will be transferred to a Kuala Lumpur (KL) hospital when his conditions are more stable.
“I am still waiting for his condition to be more stable to be transferred to a hospital in KL,” he said.
