The Leonid meteor shower comes from the dust remnants of the orbiting comet 55P/Temple-Tuttle Sun with a period of 33.3 years and is one of several other meteor showers that are anticipated each year, besides the Geminids, Lyrids, Perseids, and Orionids.

Leonid can be seen from 00.30 local time until the end of the dawn (25 minutes before sunrise Sun) from northeast to northeast.

The maximum intensity of this meteor shower ranges from 11-14 meteors per hour for the territory of Indonesia.
