There was a fatal accident in Karanganyar toll road Central Java which killed the Chairman of the Tanfidsiyah MWC NU Tegalrejo, Gus Afan Mufti. Here are the facts about the incident.
The accident on the Solo-Ngawi toll road segment of the Karanganyar Regency occurred on Saturday (25/2) in the early morning. The collision involved a Toyota Innova, which was traveling by Gus Afan Mufti’s entourage, and a tronton truck.
Following are the facts of the fatal accident:
1) Occurs in the Early Morning
Kasatlantas Karanganyar Police, AKP Aliet Alphard, explained that the accident occurred at around 03.05 WIB. The accident location is on the Solo-Kertosono toll road Km 512,800, Line B, Karangturi Hamlet, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency.
“Two vehicles were involved in the accident, namely the Toyota Innova AA 933 FK and Hino Tronton E 9342 AD,” he said, Saturday (25/2/2023).
2) The Innova driver is suspected of being sleepy
Aliet explained that initially the two vehicles were traveling from the east or the Ngawi direction heading west to Solo. With the position of the tronton truck in front of the Innova car.
“After arriving at the scene of the crime, it was suspected that the driver of the Toyota Innova car was tired and sleepy. Then he hit the rear right side of a Hino tronton truck and an accident occurred,” he said.
3) 4 People Died
Four people were victims in the accident. They are Afan Mufti Hartoni or Gus Afan Mufti. In addition, there is Gus Afan’s sister, Anisa Munafisahh; Gus Afan’s daughter, Azmi Diva Fashichah; and son of Annisa Minafisah, Muhammad Amtsal Lukluk. The four victims were sons, daughters and grandchildren of KH Sholikhun, a cleric from Geger, Girirejo, Tegalrejo, Magelang.
“Four people died,” said Secretary of NU Ranting Girirejo, Tegalrejo District, As’at, to detikJateng at the funeral home, Saturday (25/2/2023).
4) 5 People Injured
Four passengers were declared dead. Meanwhile, five other passengers were injured and were being treated at Dr. Moewardi.
“Where the victims who died were 4 people and 5 others were still being treated, all of them were in the car. The critical one finally died at the hospital,” said Deputy Chief of Karanganyar Police, Kompol Purbo Adjar Waskit at Karanganyar Police, Saturday (25/2 /2023).
