Last week the Mac turned 40 years old and since Apple launched the iPhone, the company has worked hard to ensure that they both complement each other smoothly. In the video below, we show five functions that will make it easier and smoother to work with your Mac and iPhone.
A basic requirement for these to work is that you are logged in with the same Apple ID in all devices and wifi and bluetooth need to be activated. In some cases, you may also need to activate the function in the settings.
In the video above, we go through:
- Handoff: with this feature, you can start writing an email in one of your devices and bring up the same app and immediately continue where you left off in another.
- Universal clipboard: cut something in your one device and paste it in another.
- Universal control: use one set of keyboard and mouse to multiple devices at once.
- Synced camera: use your iPhone as a camera for your Mac
- Instant Hotspot: remotely activate internet sharing in your iPhone directly in your Mac
