An account reposted a netizen’s upload which stated that as many as five new graduates did not pass the selection because of BI Checking. The post was in the spotlight because it was seen as making finding work increasingly difficult.
“Crazy, five fresh graduates (new graduates) registered at the office where I work, none of the five passed because of BI Checking col Lima, uwow,” wrote the netizen account, quoted on Tuesday (7/2/2024).
In response to this, Bank Indonesia (BI) also opened its voice. Through its official X account, BI explained that currently BI Checking has changed its name to SLIK OJK (Financial Services Authority Financial Information Services System). Then the credit calculation has been transferred to the Financial Services Authority since January 1 2018.
“Regarding credit status/credit history/BI Checking, it has been transferred to the Financial Services Authority since January 1 2018 and has changed its name to OJK SLIK (Financial Services Authority Financial Information Services System),” he wrote.
The issue of credit scores being a recruitment requirement, BI mentions again to the policies of the relevant agencies/institutions. Because this is outside BI’s authority.
“To check SLIK regarding credit status, collectibility and other credit data, please contact OJK at number 157 or via email [email protected],” he added.
