Some foods, no matter how fresh and healthy, lose their properties when reheated in the microwave. They even become toxic or cause digestive problems.
Omelette
It doesn’t happen very often that you have an omelet or boiled eggs left over from breakfast that you want to reheat, but we have to warn you that once put in the microwave, the eggs become toxic. It is better to eat them cold, in sandwiches or salads.
Certain vegetables (spinach, beets and celery)
They are very healthy, fresh or cooked, but under the influence of microwave heating, the nitrates they contain turn into nitrosamines, carcinogens.
Mushrooms
Despite being rich in protein, vitamins and amino acids, our digestive system cannot digest them very well. If you heat a rice with mushrooms and then eat it, the problem becomes even more serious, as the mushrooms can cause stomach pain and bloating. You can reheat the mushroom food in the stove oven to a maximum temperature of 70˚C.
Potatoes
They’re also blacklisted. Reheated, they lose their taste, but also their properties. Both the puree and the french fries should be eaten as soon as they have been prepared.
Chicken meat
Reheated in the microwave, meat proteins change their composition and can lead to digestive problems. It is preferable to use the meat left over in salads or sandwiches.
