The forced effort against the suspect in the alleged ITE case and defamation of Dito Mahendara was carried out because of the consideration of Nikita’s attitude which was considered uncooperative during the investigation process.

1. Cancel hold

Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serang City Police have arrested Nikita Mirzani.

The confirmation of the detention was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Pol. Shinto Silitonga through his official statement. Friday (22/7/2022).

However, on the same day, the police finally decided not to arrest Nikita.

The decision was taken after Nikita’s lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid, requested a suspension of detention on humanitarian grounds.

“There was a request from the legal counsel of suspect NM to the Serang City Police for suspect NM not to be detained. And this submission received a response from investigators and in stages to the Serang City Police Chief,” Shinto told reporters, Friday.

2. Will be cooperative

After undergoing an examination at the Serang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit building, Banten, Nikita admitted that he would cooperate when investigators needed him for the next process.

Fahmi said that the Banten Police Chief’s consideration was not to detain Nikita on humanitarian grounds because a mother must accompany her three children.
