TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Lion Air The Group laid off some of their employees in the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. This condition was caused by market conditions and the declining number of aircraft passengers.
But, Danang made sure these employees were not hit at all PHK. During his stay, Lion Air will also hold virtual training according to their respective units. “This decision is valid until further notice,” said Danang.
2. Reasons for Laying Off Employees
Danang explained that this policy was taken because the number of work production with human resources (HR) in the company was in an unbalanced condition. This situation occurred because the number of passengers on the plane dropped.
Automatically, the frequency of flying also decreases. Thus, companies need to carry out a recovery and reorientation scheme to maintain business continuity. One of them is the reduction of labor for a certain period of time in various units.
