1. Drinking too much alcohol
Excessive alcohol consumption, even in the short term, can affect the immune system.

In a paper published in the journal Alcohol Research, researchers noted a link between excessive alcohol intake and a weakened immune response.
The effects include an increased susceptibility to pneumonia and a greater likelihood of developing acute respiratory stress syndrome.
Other observed outcomes involved an increased risk of sepsis, a higher incidence of postoperative complications, poor wound healing, and slower recovery of infection.
2. Eating too much salt
Excess salt consumption is often associated with problems such as fluid retention and high blood pressure.
However, a study from the University Hospital of Bonn conducted on humans and mice concluded that too much salt can lead to immune deficiency.
