The five people who have confirmed cases of Omicron are part of a group of 12 people vaccinated in Alameda County who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Alameda County Department of Public Health. The two tied the knot on November 27 in Wisconsin, which “one of these people attended after returning from an international trip,” the agency said.
Subjects were vaccinated and had ‘mild asymptomatic cases’. The genetic sequencing of the remaining seven cases has not been completed.
Public health officials did not say where and when the person traveled internationally, nor did they immediately respond to questions about the Wisconsin wedding.
