5 beautiful plants that add moisture to the environment

These plants beautify the house, while making the environment more humid and comfortable.

When the humidity of the air is too low, people at home begin to feel the consequences of dryness. The skin is drier, the whole body may itch, it is more difficult to breathe, the eyes burn, the mouth is drier and, depending on the case, the nose can even bleed.

So, maintaining a balanced humidity in the rooms (between 40% and 70%) is more than a comfort, it is a health care. To achieve this, in addition to using a humidifier, you can grow plant species that help make the environment a little more humid. Check out some beautiful, easy-to-care examples.

1. Beverage

The scientific name of this plant is Epipremnum pinnatum And it is great to have at home as it is a decorative hanging plant, easy to care for, grows fast and absorbs a lot of moisture. So much so that, when the weather is wetter, water drips on the tips of the leaves. You just have to be careful that your pets and children do not chew on the leaves, as they are toxic.

The boa does not require much care. It likes a substrate rich in organic matter. It can be enriched with vermicompost or tanned manure, both at planting and for fertilization, approximately once or twice a year. Watering should be done when you notice that the top of the soil begins to dry out and the pot should be kept in a bright place, but without direct sunlight on the plant.
