1. Mercury’s superior conjunction

This phenomenon occurs on August 1 at 21:29 WIB Mercury phase when the superior conjunction is the same as the full moon phase and the opposition on the outer planets Mars to Neptune.

So Mercury will appear smaller and quite difficult to observe. Mercury’s distance from Earth is 1.342 sa or 200.8 million kilometers with an apparent magnitude of -2.0 and an angular diameter of 1/12 of an arc minute.

2. Saturn Opposition

Opposition on Saturn is the same as the opposition phase of the Moon or full moon, so that Saturn can be seen at its brightest when observed from Earth. The peak of Saturn’s opposition occurred on August 2 at 13:23 WIB with an apparent magnitude of -0.2.
