“16 train passengers turned out too be in possession of narcotics,” stated Commissioner Jan Maertens. “7 others were signaled for various reasons. We have judicially arrested 2 people and administratively arrested 3 people without papers.”
The operation wasn’t limited to the train station. De Lijn inspectors, responsible for the region’s tram system, issued 44 citations for fare evasion.
