A large fire is raging on the Hemelrijk in Boxtel. The fire broke out just after nine o’clock. The emergency services responded en masse to fight the fire. The fire is raging under a roof at a BASF building.
A lot of plastic was stored under the roof. This caused a lot of smoke to be released.
The Safety Region immediately warned local residents to close windows and doors because of the smoke. A NL Alert was also sent to people in the area around 9:45 p.m. It also warned to switch off ventilation systems.
The emergency services immediately sounded the alarm. Corps from all over the area were called up. Firefighters were called in from Vught, Boxtel, Liempde, Den Bosch, Best, Vlijmen and Eindhoven, among others. Measuring teams were also deployed.
