engagement in change Mirjam Olsson, handson-ehrenamt.de
What is behind the terms traditionalist, baby boomer, generation X, Y, Z? What are their skills, what shapes them and what do they need to feel comfortable in a club.

10.00 h Kaffeepause – Come together

10.30 Workshops

  1. The association’s statutes as the starting point for the necessary reorientation in the association’s work
The association work as we have done it in the last decades will not be transferred into the future. Social change has far-reaching effects on our clubs today and in the future. The basis of every adjustment process is the association’s statutes. This is where goals are defined, processes organized, legal certainty created and more. In this workshop you will learn how to prepare your association’s articles of association for the future.
Wolfgang Mesner, leadership consultant and club coach
  2. So that we can continue to change in the future – change management
The pandemic has demanded a lot of change from all of us in the past. It challenges us with topics of digitization, new forms of togetherness and cooperation. You will get to know the phases of change processes and develop options for active design.
    Mirjam Olsson, Organization Developer, handson-ehrenamt.de
  3. Maintain and increase knowledge in the club – knowledge management
Not only what an association does, but also the knowledge that collects in the digital and analogue files and is in the heads of the members characterizes its work. Which work areas and processes of a club benefit from good knowledge management? How do I initiate a new and effective way of dealing with files, documents and information? How did other clubs actually do it?
Katrin Hünemörder, trainer and project manager
  4. Internal communication – speech is silver, silence is golden, but not in a club
Communication is the be-all and end-all. It is the key to all human relationships, also in club life. It is important to master the upcoming tasks, goals and challenges together and that requires a good communication strategy. But how do we communicate internally? Do we prefer to make decisions in large or small circles? And which communication tools can clubs use?
Lisane Prosch, Marketing Manager and Club Advisor
  5. Attract volunteers – make offers attractive
There is a great deal of interest in voluntary work, but the framework conditions that people want for this are changing! Do I know exactly what I am looking for volunteers and how to recruit them? How do I make my offers attractive and how do I present myself in an interesting way? We want to approach these questions in this workshop and develop concrete examples.
Susanne Pütz, social worker and volunteer manager

12:00 p.m. Lunch in the school canteen
1.00 p.m. Exchange forums: get to the pots!
Here not everyone cooks their own soup, but the various ideas for change, new start and experience are thrown into one pot and can be enjoyed together. The topics are as diverse as the ingredients of our participants.

a. Small and medium-sized sports clubs – what moves us
Small and medium-sized clubs in particular have to react to demographic change, changing leisure behavior and digitization and make themselves fit for the future.
Moderation Wolfgang Mesner

b. Cultural associations – what moves us
For many cultural associations, the pandemic has resulted in great planning uncertainty for the future. How do you deal with that?
Moderation Mirjam Olsson

c. Keeping club life going – with and after Corona
In many cases, the “normal” main activities of clubs were no longer possible during the lockdowns. How did you keep the members engaged?
Moderator Katrin Hünemörder

i.e. Digital club management
Some are already using them, others would like to introduce them but don’t know which ones are good, and some still have very little idea of what digital club management will bring. Time to share and learn from each other.

e. How can local politics support us (even better).
Voluntary work: A voluntary task of a municipality, but without the voluntary commitment many things in the community would not work. It is important that the framework conditions are right. What good suggestions do you have and where do you see a need for support?

f. The Open Round
I do not find my concerns in the other exchange groups and would like to discuss the following topic. (Please let us know your suggested topic in the registration email.)

The results of the groups are documented by moderators and made available to everyone after the conference.
When registering, please indicate which group you would like to work in.

2.30 pm coffee and cake – conclusion
