Today isKenta YamaguchiWe bring you the blog of (Shaan 4/Saga Kita)!

#1 draft pickYumetoThis is Yamaguchi, who was introduced to me by.

After spending more than 10 hours a day at KBF, I feel a bit lonely and would like to look back on my 15 years of baseball life.

I fell in love with baseball when I saw Ichiro hit a timely hit and Yu Darvish struck out with a slider at the 2009 WBC.

When I first became interested in baseball, I started playing baseball in the second grade of elementary school after being invited by a friend. Since then, I have been obsessed with baseball and have lived a life devoted to baseball for about 15 years. Even on my days off from baseball, I would play catch with my father and friends in the park, watch professional baseball on TV at night, and during spring and summer vacation, I would occupy the front of the TV from the first to the final Koshien game. Ta. Although I was completely addicted to baseball, I was extremely bad at playing the most important part, to say the least.

When I entered junior high school, I joined the junior high school soft baseball club while all of my classmates who played youth baseball moved on to hard baseball. Actually, I wanted to try hardball baseball myself, but I gave up on it because I was too lacking in ability. In junior high school, I was able to make it to the top four in Saga Prefecture when I was in my third year, and I was able to enjoy playing baseball for three years. However, since he was in elementary school, he had been told that his throwing technique was bad, and even in junior high school, he became too concerned about his throwing technique, and eventually lost track of how to throw and developed the yips. I was afraid of throwing, and I felt depressed when I was playing catch. I remember often slacking off at the water cooler when it was time to play catch.

When I entered high school, I was so bad at baseball that I decided to give up on it. However, right after he finished his private entrance exam, he suddenly started missing baseball, and he couldn’t give up on his dream of playing Koshien, so he decided to let go of his acceptance letter. I entered Saga Kita High School, which has a history of winning Koshien, as a high school with a chance of participating in Koshien at least once in my three years of high school. I had no idea that my level would work in the baseball club, which was full of talented players from all over Saga Prefecture, so I was interested in becoming a manager even before I joined the club. I thought it would be better to work behind the scenes in order to contribute to the team. I initially joined the club as a player, but on the first day of practice, I got a feel for the level of my classmates through the knocking and free batting performed by only the first-year students. I started helping. During the summer vacation of my first year, I was recognized as a full-fledged manager, and my main responsibilities included knocking, collecting data, maintaining the environment, and making drinks. Ever since I became a manager, I had heard that the manager who graduated due to a mistake was even more amazing, so I spent every day determined to become the No. 1 manager in Saga Kita history.

Blessed with his seniors, he was able to participate in Koshien in his second year and was selected as a member of the Koshien squad. During Koshien practice, I was able to step on the Koshien soil, which I have always admired, and I was very satisfied. Just when I was thinking about quitting baseball in high school, Koshien was canceled due to the coronavirus. In the baseball diary on the day that Koshien was canceled, the manager at the time of the Koshien victory (then deputy manager) praised Yamaguchi as “Yamaguchi was the No. 1 manager in the history of Northern Saga.” I felt a sense of incompleteness, found the work behind the scenes rewarding, and received high praise from my high school coach, so I decided to try my hand at becoming a manager at university.

Due to various connections, I entered Kansai University and without hesitation applied to become a manager. I was extremely enthusiastic because I was confident that I could do well at university. However, the reality was not so easy; the duties of a manager in high school and university were 180 degrees different, and I suffered a major setback on my first day joining the club. In the job of a university manager, there are few visible evaluations or results, and it is taken for granted that one’s own mistakes cause trouble to those around them. I struggled to maintain motivation because I couldn’t see the value in my existence, and I struggled with the gap between being a manager in high school and college, and even thought that I shouldn’t have been a manager in college. As the eldest of four children and someone who had just moved to Osaka, there was no way I could tell my family that I wanted to quit my job as a manager, so I just waited for time to pass every day. At that time, I was looking forward to going to the field and having time to talk and eat with my fellow players. Even so, I found a place to play an active role in data analysis, which I had been doing since high school. From the fall of my first year at university, former coach Hayase came in handy during meetings before league games. thank you very much.

When I entered my third year, I was always conscious of my final year, and I was constantly anxious about whether I would be able to take charge. Then, my appointment as chief came suddenly at a time when I was not mentally prepared. The important role of “in charge” rests heavily on my shoulders. It was a very heavy burden for me and I felt like I was going to be crushed by the pressure. Even though the head of Kansai University’s baseball team has a lot of work to do, this year he has been busier than usual due to three irregularities, including a change in manager, a change in advisors, and Yumeto, who is a No. 1 candidate. The days were clearly visible. Every day, I worked like a workhorse, feeding desperately. As soon as one big event was over, the next big job came before me, and I received an unprecedented amount of interview requests and contacts from scouts. There were times when I got fed up and wanted to run away. There were many days of failure and stress. However, this past year has definitely been the most fun and fulfilling of my life.

Looking back on the past four years, I have experienced many fun, difficult, and frustrating experiences. The people who have helped me grow as a person over the past four years are Coach Oda, Coach Hioki, Yamaguchi Advisory Staff, Trainer Nakamoto, Trainer Goda, Sensei Kitahara, Sensei Tajiri, Mr. Ueda, and former Coach Hayase. Thanks to everyone involved in the baseball club, including alumni and alumni, and everyone involved in the school. Thank you very much for your help during my four years at university. thank you very much. I am especially grateful to Director Oda. I learned a lot from being in charge of the team and being with Coach Oda 24/7 from morning till evening. When I was a coach, he taught me what it takes to be a manager, and after I became the manager, he left most things to me. Being entrusted with this job was a huge responsibility, and I was also happy to be recognized as a manager, so I did my best to live up to their expectations. I was criticized a lot and received a lot of praise, so I was happy to be able to be in charge under Coach Oda. And thank you for inviting me to a drinking party many times.

I would also like to thank my seniors who have helped me so far. When I was an underclassman, I think I was one of those juniors who licked everything in front of me. Thanks to the patient guidance given to me, I was able to successfully complete my important role as a supervisor. I realize now that I am very happy to have seniors who still care about me. In particular, Mr. Sano, who was in the same department as me and used to treat me often when I was an active student, and Mr. Numamoto, who I went out drinking with every month and was more of a friend than a senior. I really appreciate it. I look forward to your invitation for drinks.

Over the past four years, I have come to love Kansai University. I will continue to work hard for the development of Kansai University and the Kansai University Athletic Association Baseball Club!

Lastly, to my mom and dad.

Without a doubt, I was the one who made the Yamaguchi family a baseball family. I’m surprised that my mother, who didn’t even know the “ya” in “yakyu”, now starts talking about pitching and tactics.

I am grateful to my father and mother for allowing me to devote myself to baseball without any problems and for respecting the path I want to take and what I want to do.

My dad taught me baseball, and we had fun playing catch together. At university, my father’s wallet saved me many times.

My mother has supported me with meals and laundry since I started playing baseball. Thank you for sending me money at university. Delicious food was the source of my strength.

Thank you for coming to watch the spring and fall league games this year.

There were many difficult and difficult times, but weekly LINE calls with my family gave me encouragement.

From now on, I would like to give back little by little as a member of society.

Message to teammatesheart that pops out

To my classmates.

It was a fun four years. It is no exaggeration to say that when I was an underclassman, I went to open games and league games to watch my classmates perform. When everyone did well, I felt happy as if it were my own. In addition, many of the members had been active in league matches since they were underclassmen, and we were proud of our school year. Thanks to everyone’s cooperation, I was able to complete my duties for one year.TaroI’m glad it’s my generation! thank you!

I think the banquet manager will hold another class party next time to talk about memories from the four years at university, so let’s have a drink and talk about it! Thank you for the best youth!

PS. It seems that among the scouts of each team that he has worked with this year, he is referred to as “Kanamaru’s exclusive manager.” It was a tough year for both of us, but thanks to Yumeto, we had a sense of accomplishment, valuable experiences, and encounters that we would never normally have. thank you! Good luck even as a professional!

2 sync managers (KuwanaHorio)fart.

I think it was because of these two that I was able to fulfill my role as manager for four years. When I was a first year student, since I was in a different camp, the two of us were in charge of cleaning in the morning, which was very helpful. Over the past four years, there have been many times where I have been spoiled by the kindness of the two of them, but perhaps it was because of the exquisite balance between the three of them that things worked out so well.

Kuwana worked quietly and was the person I could rely on most when I was in trouble. Thank you for buying me lunch according to my preferences for four years.

I think it must have been difficult for Horio to serve as both a member of the team and a federation committee member. Even under such circumstances, I could learn from his careful work style.

And thank you for listening to my helpless stories for four years. The casual moments in the management room were important moments for me. Let’s continue to do our best together!

To my junior managers.

I don’t know what I could leave behind for my juniors. I had never been in a higher position and was not good at organizing an organization. There were times when I was very irritated because I often forced myself to do things. I think my juniors were dissatisfied with my behavior, etc.

Also, because of his tendency to do everything himself, he may have deprived his juniors of opportunities to grow.

I would like to tell you two things.

First, if leaders and managers work together, the foundation of the organization will be strong. This is something I have been conscious of for a year. The role of a manager is due to his close relationship with the coaches and players. It is also important to get a feel for the players’ feelings, gather their opinions, and convey them to the coaches. Another role is to instill the coach’s ideas and policies among the players. If the manager is strong, the team will definitely become stronger.

Second, aim to be number one in at least one thing. Ever since I became the manager, I have been determined to aim to be the number one contributor to the team. I was at KBF for almost a year without taking a break. He has dedicated more time and effort to the team than anyone else. People around you will see your hard work. Because I am in the position of a manager who is rarely evaluated, I have no choice but to do my best. These experiences of success and confidence help me grow.

Please show your own colors and create an even more attractive Kansai University baseball team!

A word about baseball lifeSmiling

“Happy person”

I can proudly say that I had a truly happy baseball life. I never thought that I, who was the worst player on the youth baseball team, would be involved in baseball for 15 years. In junior high school, I was a regular in the top four in Saga Prefecture, and in high school, I was allowed to play in Koshien, and in college, I was in the Jingu tournament and watched the team win, and I had a classmate who was drafted first, so I had a very satisfying baseball life. Through baseball, I learned a lot and had many encounters. I entered Kansai University because of baseball, and was able to meet 38 classmates. I will continue to do my best by making use of what I have learned through baseball.

heartA word from the managerlove love

As the manager for the past year, he has devoted most of his time to the Kansai University baseball team. On days when Yamaguchi wasn’t on the field, I felt anxious, and if I asked him anything, he would answer, teach me, and check on me, so he was an indispensable presence. I really appreciate it. I think they were doing a lot of work in places that we didn’t know about, even though they wouldn’t say it out loud.

thanks so much! ! !

He’s good at his job, has a sharp face reminiscent of a Kyushu boy, and spares no effort to achieve his goals…hmm, as long as he’s friendly, he might really be the perfect person, haha.

Even after retiring, he seems to be working without any time to take a break 👀

Managers, if you have any problems, please ask Yamaguchi for anything! !

Introducing the person in charge of the next blog

Tomorrow’s 4th grade blog will be…

Finally, the 4th grade blog is coming to an end.

The person who will lead the team is the person who has been leading the team for the past year and who loves his hometown so much.

He gained tremendous trust from everyone and was unanimously appointed to the important role.

During his plays, he served as the leadoff man with skillful bat control.

He also has a tearful side and a gacha-gacha-loving side.

Please look forward to Cap’s blog, who is currently enjoying a short vacation!
