Anniversary at the Dingolfing BMW plant: The eleven millionth BMW rolled off the assembly line there these days. As the carmaker announced in a press release on Thursday, the anniversary vehicle is a 5-series BMW of the seventh generation.

To celebrate, the current 5 Series also met its predecessor. An employee had provided his historic second-generation BMW 520 i (E28) for the photo shoot. This model had broken the sound barrier of one million vehicles produced in the Dingolfing factory in 1982. – pnp
